Another Blogger's Beauty Holiday Giveaway

http://tiffanylovecouture.blogspot.com/2010/12/my-first-make-upbeauty-give-away.html

Just came across this amazing beauty holiday give away. Head over to check it out and enter!

Mmmm Mmmmm Juicy Wine Purse

In keeping with the holiday spirit, I decided to break out my cranberry/wine color Juicy Couture Tycoon purse. Last season I purchased this Juicy Couture Tycoon Leather Handbag from Hautelook.com (Sample Sale Website). It retails for around $350 but Hautelook had it on sale for $150. I remember it arriving at the beginning of the Spring season and I just felt that lighter colored bags were more appropriate with the weather and my outfit choices. Now is the perfect time to wear this gorgeous wine hue with my dark skinny jeans and black peat coat. Some versions of the handbag have different accessories attached to the chains at one side, mine has a small gold cutout of a puppy. This is the only part of the bag design that I am not thrilled with. I'm thinking about removing it because it cheapens the look of the bag. Normally, I am not a fan of Juicy Couture for this reason, but I loved the shape and color of this bag and for the sale price I could not pass it up.

The flash definitely washes out the color and makes it appear more pink, but its definitely a deep wine or burgundy (hate that word) color.

Happy Holidays! What holiday inspired accessories do you like to break out for the season?

Perfume of the Moment: Marc Jacobs Lola

This has been my daily perfume for a little over a month now. Its light but fresh smelling and definitely is not overpowering. Sephora.com describes the scent as a "warm floral boquet." I love it and definitely recommend it for the holidays.

My Favorite Fall Polish

I have been wearing Confetti's Nail Polish in Moonstruck a lot this Fall Season. At only $1.99 this economical brand produced one of the hottest greige colors for the season. The polish applies evenly in two coats and lasts a few days before chipping with a base and top coat (which is my case even with the more expensive polishes like OPI and Essie). Confetti has been considered a dupe for Sephora by OPI Metro Chic and Rimme's Steel Gray. For $1.99 I'll definitely be looking out for other great colors by this brand which can be found at CVS.

Wet 'n' Wild Makeup Staples

As both a lover of makeup and sales, cheap quality cosmetics are about as exciting as Christmas morning for someone like me. Wet 'n' Wild is a cosmetics line available in Rite Aid in my area. The line has definitely stepped up their game in the “quality” department over the past few years. Here are my favorite products and a quick review on each. Almost all of these are daily staples in my makeup routine.

Mega Eyes Crème Eyeliner in 886 Black.

I'll admit that I have not tried other creme/liquid liners aside from Stila's smudge pots a few years back. I used to be a strictly liquid felt-tip liner girl. I read about a million reviews comparing this to brands like Mac's fluidline eyeliner and I have to say that this is the most amazing eyeliner that I have ever used. It literally stays on all day, 12+ hours with NO flaking or smudging. Once you apply the crème liner it takes a few seconds to set and after that it is virtually impossible to move or fix. Many people complain that its hard to remove at the end of the day. I have no problem when I use an oil-based eye-makeup remover. That is the key. If you don't own any, a little bit of baby oil on a cotton ball does the trick. I even like the small brush that comes with it. Its the perfect width for application.

Color Icon Eyeshadow Single in 252B Nutty

This is the perfect "Greige" base eyeshadow. When I'm in a rush I'll use it alone but for a more intense look its great with a highlighter and darker shade to add intensity in the crease. Its a perfect light creamy consistency with great pigmentation. When I use this with Smashbox eyeshadow primer it stays on all day without creasing.

Color Icon Blusher in 831E Pearlescent Pink

This blush is the perfect pigment and consistency. Its highly pigmented but does not look fake or overdone when applied softly to the apples of your cheeks. The shimmer that appears in the photo is extremely faint when applied to the cheeks which is good in my opinion. Other blogs have also compared this to NARS Orgasm.

Below are swatches of Nutty and Pearlescent Pink. Nutty is on the left and Pearlescent Pink is on the right.

Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer 182 Natural

I rarely use tinted moisturizers because I have oily/combination skin. My skin also can be somewhat sensitive and prone to breakouts. I've only used this TM a few times but I loved it. Its a quick fix when you don't have time for foundation or just want to even skin tone with minimal coverage. With the price tag of $2.99 this is definitely the most reasonable TM you can get in drugstores.

Ultimate Brow Kit 963 Ash Brown

I love this eyebrow kit. I mainly use eyebrow kits to make my brows appear thicker and keep stray hairs in line with some wax treatments. The lighter brown shade is the one I use with a slanted thin brush and it is the perfect matte shade. It stays all day and the wax treatment isn't bad either. Because I was having some trouble applying enough of the wax with the small brush the supplied I opted to try the next product.....

Arch Envy Color & Set

I only use the Set/Fixer white/clear part of the pencil. It does the perfect job of setting the powder from the Ultimate Brow Kit. Its quicker and easier than applying wax with the brush from the previous kit.

Those are my definite Wet 'n' Wild staples you need for your makeup collection. All of the products are under $5 and Wet 'n' Wild regularly has BOGO Free sales. What a steal!
